age 47, of Acton, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 20, 2008 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Newton, NJ., Christine was the daughter of the late Joseph and Christiane Boisvert. As part of a military family, Christine lived and attended school in many places, including France, Germany, Africa, and Falls Church, VA. After the untimely death of her parents in 1974, she was raised by her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Richard Neitz in Yarmouth, MA. She was a graduate of Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in 1978, George Washington University in 1982, and Boston University School of Social Work in 1986, and began her career at the Family Service Association of Greater Fall River, Inc. She married Jim Dexter in 1985, and the couple resided in Allston, MA., Tokyo, Japan, Framingham, MA., Mansfield, MA., and Jericho, VT. prior to moving to Acton, MA. in 1996. As an Acton resident, Christine generously gave of her time and expertise to her neighborhood, community, church and the schools. In particular, she spent many happy hours volunteering at the Douglas Elementary School, the RJ Grey Junior High School, St Elizabeth of Hungary Church, and at the Household Goods Recycling Ministry. Christine will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister and loyal friend to all who knew her.

Christine is survived by her husband Jim; a daughter, Danielle; a son, Matthew; a brother Peter Boisvert and his wife, Marie, of West Chester PA.; a sister Betty Neitz and husband, Richard, of South Yarmouth, MA. and their adult children, Jeffery Neitz of San Francisco, CA. and Brittany Neitz of New York, NY.

All were invited to visiting hours on Monday, April 28th from 5:00-8:00pm in St Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 89 Arlington Street, Acton. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, April 29th at 10:30am in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, with burial following in Woodlawn Cemetery, Concord Road, Acton Center. Those who wish may make donations in Christine’s memory to Evercare Hospice, 950 Winter Street, Suite 4830, Waltham, MA. 02451.
