age 89, of Acton, MA. died Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Emerson Hospital in Concord. She was the beloved wife of over 50 years of the late John Sworobowicz, who died in 2000.
Born and raised in Central Falls, Rhode Island, she was the second to the youngest of twelve children of the late Stanley and Mary Ann Wilk. A graduate of St. Joseph's School in Central Falls, she lived in Wilmington, Delaware from 1961-1976, when the family moved to Acton. A devoted mother and homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and sewing and especially loved playing Scrabble. Mrs. Sworobowicz was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Acton.
She is survived by two children, Carl Sworobowicz of Acton, and Mary Ann Czachorowski and her husband William III of Clayton, Delaware; three grandson, William IV, David and Paul Czachorowski; and three great-grandsons, Paul, Thomas and Mark.
Visiting hours were Sunday, July 25th from 4:00-6:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton, with the Vigil Liturgy at 6:30pm in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 89 Arlington Street, Acton, and visiting until 8:00pm. The funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, July 26th at 11:00am in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, with burial following in Mt Hope Cemetery, Central Street, West Acton.
