Rizzo, Frank J. Jr.

Born and raised in Waltham, he was a son of the late Frank and Concetta (Cucciatore) Rizzo. Mr. Rizzo graduated from Waltham High School in 1931, and served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant in the European Theatre during WW II. A Maynard resident since the 1940s, he was employed at the Watertown Arsenal for many years before retiring in the early 1970s. He loved vacationing in Hawaii, and was a life member of the Maynard Lodge of Elks. He moved to Marietta, Georgia to reside with family about four years ago.

Mr. Rizzo is survived by a son, Frank Rizzo and his partner Bill Kux of New Haven, CT.; a daughter Virginia Cueto and her husband Dr. Paul Fair of Marietta; a granddaughter Alexandra Haynie and her husband Chuck, and two great-grandsons, Chance and Hudson Haynie, all of Marietta; two brothers, Peter and Albert Rizzo, and a sister Philomena Profita, all of Waltham; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

All were invited to visiting hours on Friday, April 11th from 4:00-8:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Mass Ave (Rte 111) Acton. The funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, April 12th at 9:00am in St. Bridget's Church, corner of Percival and Sudbury Streets, Maynard. Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery, Parker Street, Maynard.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests those who wish may make memorial contributions in Mr. Rizzo's name to United Hospice of Cobb, 1640 Powers Ferry Road, Building 3, Suite 100, Marietta, GA. 30067.
