Sweeney, Janet May (Joyce)

Born in Boston, she was a daughter of Mary K. Joyce and the late Bernard A. Joyce.

Mrs. Sweeney was raised in Boxborough, and was a graduate of Minuteman Regional Technical High School. A writer of music, poems and short stories, she also enjoyed cooking, gardening and loved horses and animals.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Michelle Sweeney; two sisters: Cathy Diamontoupalas and Mary Lou Joyce; her companion of 21 years Richard Kiotic; and extended family and friends. She was the sister of the late Steven G. Joyce.

All are invited to a graveside service on Saturday, May 3rd at 11:30am in South Cemetery, Burroughs Road, Boxborough, with a gathering to follow.
